Davis Loftin
We will never forget the tremendous contributions of our dear friend and founding member
Davis was an exceptionally talented lawyer who successfully helped hundreds of clients achieve their goals over a twenty-two plus year career.
He was a widely respected member of the plaintiff’s personal injury bar, being named a Georgia Superlawyers Rising Star on multiple occasions and earning the Martindale-Hubbell’s Preeminent AV Peer Review Rating, the gold standard in attorney ratings. Davis was a brilliant legal writer who possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of personal injury law and unparalleled client communication skills. He cared deeply about his clients and never forgot what a privilege it was to work for them. Davis was a member of the Georgia State Bar Association, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Davis was born in Dillon, South Carolina but grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina, Davis moved to Atlanta for law school at Emory University. While they had no plans to stay, Davis and his wife Jana fell in love with Atlanta and never left.
Above all else
Davis was devoted to his family. Davis and Jana were college sweethearts, married for twenty-two years but together for twenty-eight. Their daughters Cooper and Parker were truly his pride and joy, and he could usually be found with them when he was away from the office. For everyone who knew Davis, he will always be remembered for a quick wit, a soft-spoken tenacity and an unflinching loyalty to family and friends. His legacy and spirit will always be part of the law firm that he helped found and build.
